Explanation[edit | edit source]

Impressionism is a style and movement of art developed in the late 19th century. The art style is named for Impression, Sunrise by Impressionist painter Claude Monet—mentioned in the transcript—via an article criticizing an exhibition at which the painting was displayed.

One of the Impressionist style's primary features is visible brushstrokes, which are imitated here.
