Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the first original Garfield strip, Garfield's about to kick Odie off of the table, but before he does that, He talks to the readers first. He says, "with each new day, a cat's curiosity must be satisfied anew." Then Garfield kicked Odie off the table with his left foot and now Odie is off-screen. Garfield speaks to Odie, off-screen saying, "Yup, the law of gravity is still in effort."

Here, the author made the title because it has consequences of not having a panel border in this comic. Garfield's about to kick Odie off the table, but before he does that, He talks to the readers first. He says, "With each new day, a cat's curiosity must be satisfied anew." Then Garfield kicks Odie off the table with his left foot, but since there is no panel border in the second panel, Odie starts to fall right through, falling into a crate of TNT. Odie (off-screen) has been blown up in the third panel. Garfield speaks to Odie who is still off-screen, saying, "Yup, the law of gravity is still in effort." The author says it pretty much explains itself in the author's note.
