Explanation[edit | edit source]

The original strip didn't have the button. This button is from The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, specifically the officially emulated versions of the Nintendo 64 games. In those games, a button appears when you can do certain things, hence, the action button. This specific iteration, for example, tells you that you can grab onto something in order to push or pull it.

This edit was inspired by Garfield's mention of actions, and by Garfield's action being sort of one that Link can take.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Jon is eating steak as Garfield stands there, staring close and smiling}
Garfield: Purrrrrr, purr, purr
{Garfield looks defeated as his arms drop. The action button appears, labeled "Grab"}
{Garfield grabs the steak}
Garfield: Actions speak louder than purrs
