Explanation[edit | edit source]

Again, the author makes reference to the die-rolling program he sometimes uses (as noted previously in strips 253 and 271), using a reference to Sesame Street's fake sponsors.

In the original comic, Garfield says "Ambition! Drive, fortitude, gumption, determination..."; in this strip, Garfield has no such lofty things to say, just the strange series of syllables associated with the Knights Who Say "Ni!" in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
