Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original Garfield strip, Garfield walked out of the house reading a book entitled "BIRD CALLS". Garfield put down the book and blew a whistle, making a TWEET. Garfield gets joyfully surprised to hear another "TWEET" in reply, so he started to walk down the path, still blowing the whistle with a "TWEET", and again he hears a "TWEET" in reply. Garfield is now running, and the sound is coming from around the corner. Garfield blew twice, "TWEET TWEET" and heard a replying "TWEET TWEET" again.

As Garfield rounded the corner, he blew two more times "TWEET TWEET" and hears "TWEET TWEET" two more times in return...then suddenly, he comes face to face with Garfield who made the sound.

Here, Garfield found himself face to face with the Anti-Garfield, a Garfield which is like the original Garfield in any way, except made of antimatter. Jon, who's at the living room back at the house, where he reads a newspaper and drinks coffee, was startled by a massive explosion as the two Garfield's annihilate each other.
