Explanation[edit | edit source]

Comments on a Postcard is another mezzacotta project that purports to be a webcomic — however, every image file is broken, leaving only the author's notes. Naturally, the reader must imagine what the strip would've been like from their notes — which are often intentionally absurd, further piquing this hypothetical reader's curiosity.

This strip is ostensibly an edit of the first strip that replaces the characters with Garfield ones — of course, it's just as fake as the original.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

As a big fan of both Comments on a Postcard and Square Root of Minus Garfield, I just had to make this strip. Replacing the CG characters with Jon and Garfield was easy. The really hard part was fixing the wax crayon background using only MS Paint.

Also, can you spot Odie in the last panel?

Transcript[edit | edit source]

Jon: Garfield, not sure you can be trusted.
Garfield: Why would you say that?
Garfield: Oh, look. I found your wallet.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The transcript contains a minor typo — Jon's line is "Garfield, I'm not sure you can be trusted."
