Explanation[edit | edit source]

As mentioned in the author's notes, the strip is a reference to The Guy Who Can't Draw Comics, a web-comic consisting almost exclusively of dialogue balloons. The dialogue often implies scenarios which should be visually interesting but aren't due to the lack of artwork.

The format is recreated here by removing all of the visuals except for the background and dialogue balloons.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

I made this years ago, and I got my inspiration from a webcomic called The Guy Who Can't Draw Comics, which consists entirely of dialogue and almost no artwork. I had figured that the strip I altered could work perfectly for this simple concept.

The original strip was from 2000-07-25.
