Talk:List of all comics

From SRoMG Explained
Jump to navigationJump to search
Checklist for SRoMG updates:
  • Create a page for the update. The title should be of the format "(number): (title)". Untitled comics, of which 1527 is the only example so far, are an exception.
  • In that new page, substitute the Comicpage template. One method is {{subst:Comicpage|number|date|title|filename|author|explanation|comments|transcript}}. Replace the parameters as appropriate and save the page. Categories for Reoccurring patterns or Subject matter can be added at this stage too.
    • Note that categories for author and SRoMG strip date are automatically added by Comicpage. Template:os can be used in the author's comments, where links to the original Garfield strip appear, to add categories for those strips' dates.
  • Create a redirect for the number of the comic.
  • Upload the image. Its filename should be the name of the comic, if possible.
    • The comic's number can be added if another strip with the same title occupies the filename. Example: Plush Garfield.png, Plush Garfield 52.png.
    • If the comic's title includes illegal characters, they can be removed. Colons can be removed or replaced by hyphens.
  • Make sure it's on the List of all comics. Also make sure the title, date and author are filled in, and the filename is correct.

Table technicals[edit source]

In case anyone with a better knowledge of MediaWiki tables than me reads this wiki: Is there a way to force the table to keep the "link" and "date" columns wide enough to fit the text on one line? DEIDATVM (talk) 23:46, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

Well, I did the best I personally could. — NES Boy (talk) 18:40, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
Ah, that looks much better. Thanks! DEIDATVM (talk) 22:07, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
