Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip takes the original Garfield strip, originally about Garfield pretending to be a "jungle cat" in his own backyard, and replaces Garfield's surroundings--essentially everything except Garfield himself and his dialogue--with a picture of an actual deforested jungle, essentially making Garfield's claim of being a fierce jungle cat more believable.
