Explanation[edit | edit source]

The Angriest Dog in the World is a comic strip created by David Lynch, which depicts a dog so angry it can only stand in the same spot in the backyard and growl. The strip usually involves several panels of the dog standing there and growling, while unusual snippets of dialogue can be heard from the people inside the nearby house. Each strip ends with a panel at night, the dog still standing there.

This strip recreates the format of the comic, with Odie as the titular dog and (almost certainly) Garfield as someone inside. However, the comic factors in Odie's typical demeanor, having him stuck in place due to sheer happiness.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

With apologies to David Lynch.

Original strip from 1994-03-05, with new art cribbed from the 1991-01-03 and 1992-08-09 strips.
