Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

This would probably make a lot more sense if it were Snoopy who wanted to transfer to another comic instead of Schroeder. At least that would explain where Snoopy is and why he is letting a cat sleep on his house.

Garfield: I wonder if Charlie Brown could use a cat?
{Charlie Brown looks surprised at Garfield, who is lying on top of Snoopy's doghouse}
Schroeder: Sometimes I think I should put in for transfer to a new comic strip!
{Jon looks surprised at Schroeder, who is playing his piano on the floor}
