In the original strip, Jon worries about forgetting how to speak (prompting Garfield to say "Don't try to cheer me up"). Thus, in this strip, as the title implies, his worries about forgetting how to speak come to pass. Further, the Author's Comment is also (mostly) blank, quite imitative of Jon's lack of speech.
