Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

This came to me when Garfield talks about being one person's opinion. Because of this, I switched both character's positions so that their opinions switched, with Garfield being terrified with rice while Jon don't mind this. After all, Jon's always have his food snatched by Garfield, so he takes what he can get because he could be always hungry when he's not shown to be stuffed.

Original strips: 1993-05-30, 1995-04-29, 2008-11-18, 2008-12-21, 2011-05-15.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

Garfield: Too much rice!
{Garfield is swept away by the overflowing rice while Jon looks at Garfield}
{Garfield struggles in the rice heap while Jon eats his rice}
Jon: That's one cat's opinion.
