Explanation[edit | edit source]
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
That worker looked like something Mario wears, so that's how the idea came about. The idea also came about from the Mario Bros. origin in the Mushroom Kingdom in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show cartoon segment, where they were cleaning a drain in a bathtub, but were sucked into a pipe instead. Due to this strip's origin date and the queue being at around September (I think), I hope it isn't too late for me to submit this.
Original strip: 2013-09-05.
Transcript[edit | edit source]
Worker: Mr. Arbuckle, here's my bill for cleaning your bathtub.
Jon: {Looks at bill} Why so much?
Worker: I lost Mario and Luigi in there.
Garfield: No match for the drain.
