Explanation[edit | edit source]
In the original strip, Jon says "Your not a sailplane, you know." This is obviously a grammatical error, which this strip duly fixes.
The error in the original strip is known to be present on all extant digital Garfield archives, and presumably in most (if not all) printings of Garfield Loses His Feet: His Ninth Book as well.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
It had to be done. Not even Jim Davis is immune to these types of mistakes.
Original strip: 1983-03-25.
Transcript[edit | edit source]
Jon: Come and get it, Garfield.
{Garfield tries to jump across the room to his food bowl, but falls on the floor.}
SFX: Crash!
Jon: You're not a sailplane, you know.
Garfield: Oh, shut up.
