Explanation[edit | edit source]
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
In response to Adam Klimowski's original strip, I have made a few alterations to it:
1. The main point of this edit is to replace the censored Twitter avatars next to the Retweets and Favorites with fake avatars. They represent Garfields from previous SRoMG strips:
- 8-Bit Garfield, from No. 21: NESfield
- Impressionist Garfield, from No. 188: Impressionist Garfield
- Replaced Garfield, from No. 221: Replaced
- Zalgo-Possessed Garfield, from No. 578: Zalgo Garfield 2
- Square Root Hue Garfield, from No. 849: Square Root of Minus Garfield's Hue
- Pastel Optimist Garfield, from No. 1061: Art as Garfield as Art
- Game Boy Garfield, from No. 1156: Game Boy Garfield
And of course, Frozen Pudding Pop Garfield, who's just barely visible.
2. Adam's dialogue rewrite in the final panel removed the emphasis on the word "everything", which I've restored.
Original strips: 2001-11-28, 2014-05-27.
Transcript[edit | edit source]
Garfield: BURP!
{Garfield is using his smartphone.}
{Twitter screen showing Garfield's tweet.}
{Beat panel as Garfield is smiling}
Jon: You don't have to tweet everything you do!
{Garfield is still smiling}
Trivia[edit | edit source]
It is presumed that 2001-11-28 was not intended to be directly credited as an original strip credit; the remnants of the old credit system do not list it. It is likely that the transition between crediting systems looked over the entire author's notes, rather than just the coding corresponding to the old crediting system, noticed a (now-busted) link to the 2001-11-28 strip in the author's notes proper, and treated it as an original strip credit in the current crediting system accordingly.
