2245: Garfield's Actual Theme Song
Garfield's Actual Theme Song |
![]() Made by: SomeFunnyMoney |
Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip essentially involves Garfield singing a few lines from the second and most prolific opening theme of Garfield and Friends (the "most prolific" part coming from this particular theme replacing the first theme on syndicated prints, and replacing the third theme on all prints other than those that went out over its first-run network of CBS), followed by Garfield proudly stating it to be his theme song. This strip implies its author tends to prefer that particular theme song over other Garfield television theme songs; it does not reflect the preferences of Square Root of Minus Garfield as a whole, as it is likely that other fans could prefer the first theme to Garfield and Friends, or to lesser extent songs such as the third theme to Garfield and Friends and the theme to The Garfield Show.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
This was one of those strips where I saw it, I immediately came up with a SRMG take on it, and I said to myself, "Ok, now I have to do it".
Original strip: 2015-03-18.
