2473: Scrambled TV

Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip takes three original Garfield strips (the 2012 one, in actuality, was recreated using the assets of the 2002 strips to get around the issue of differing backgrounds) and rotates their panels so that each line includes one panel from each of the original strips, thus creating new narratives that appear to make little sense. The first line depicts a murder mystery where the murderer is a moth, someone asks for the moth not to be pictured, then Garfield bringing up a noodle incident involving someone named Roberta. The second line depicts someone named Bob winning an ugly baby contest, with Bob apparently crawling onto the describer's neck, something Garfield believes cannot be improved by reality. The third line depicts Sherlock Holmes observing a caterpillar apparently turning into a human girl named Roberta Saconski, only for Holmes to quickly forget her name and remember the name "Bob", with Garfield noting how the years are catching up with Holmes.
