2485: A man with a fork in a world of soup
A man with a fork in a world of soup |

Explanation[edit | edit source]
The original three-panel comic had Garfield awake and standing in the third panel, being unable to sleep through food analogies. Here, the third panel is a beat panel before Jon voices his realization that Garfield is dead.
The title comes from a quote by Noel Gallagher, of Oasis at the time, about his brother Liam, who had formed it. This was a few months before an altercation between them led Noel to leave Oasis and form Noel Gallagher's High flying Birds.
The fuller quote is "He’s rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy. He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup."
