Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

The idea for this game from an episode of VeggieTales (A Christian kids' show about vegetables that teaches life lessons) named "A Snoodle's Tale", released mid-2004. Its secondary story is "Dr. Jiggle and Mr. Sly", a parody of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" with a little disco thrown in.

In that segment, Dr. Jiggle (Jimmy Gourd) performs a short musical number while the two detectives Mr. Butterbun (Scooter the Scottish Carrot) and Mr. Poole (Larry the Cucumber) are basically frozen the entire time. When they finally move again, Mr. Butterbun says the line Garfield says above.

Dr. Jiggle's short musical number is called "I Want To Dance", so that's what the title is.

Also, in levels of seriousness (usually), Garfield is representative of Mr. Butterbun and Odie is representative of Mr. Poole.

Original strip: 1998-02-03.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Garfield is about to kick Odie off the table.}
{After the background changes to pink, Garfield and Odie are still exactly the same!}
{The background changes to blue again and Garfield and Odie are still in the same poses. Garfield states exactly why they didn't move:}
