2726: Unguarded Explosion
Unguarded Explosion |

Explanation[edit | edit source]
In the original Garfield comic, Garfield spotted a hamburger on the table and he tosses the hamburger into his mouth, then Garfield realized it was cat food, which Jon tricked Garfield into eating.
But in this edit, what was in that hamburger has been replaced with nitro glycerin, resulting in a huge explosion.
Nitro glycerin is an explosive liquid, and a pretty powerful liquid, too; dropping a feather on it can detonate it, and it explodes faster than what the human eye can see bare.

Anyone familiar with Wile E. Coyote cartoons know what nitroglycerin is, but for those who don't, let me explain: it's explosive liquid, and a pretty powerful liquid, too; dropping a feather on it can detonate it, and it explodes faster than what the human eye can see bare. Yeah, it's painfully inaccurate, since nitroglycerin really doesn't make explosions that big, but hey, it's Garfield, did you expect scientific accuracy?
Original strip: 1993-01-09.
