Explanation[edit | edit source]
In this strip, Jon calls out to Garfield, announcing that the mail has arrived. Garfield excitedly repeats Jon's words. However, in the next panel, Jon is replaced by Ron Swanson (from Parks and Recreation), and Garfield is replaced by Nala (from The Lion King). Ron asks Nala if she notices anything different about him, to which she responds with a casual guess: "New cologne?"
