Explanation[edit | edit source]
In the original Garfield strip, Garfield walked out of the house reading a book entitled "BIRD CALLS". Garfield put down the book and blew a whistle, making a TWEET. Garfield gets joyfully surprised to hear another "TWEET" in reply, so he ran all the way to a street corner...and suddenly came face to face with another Garfield who made the sound.
Here, Garfield finds himself face to face with the Anti-Garfield, a Garfield which is like the original Garfield in any way, except made of antimatter. Jon, who's at the living room back at the house, where he reads a newspaper and drinks coffee, is startled by a massive explosion as the two Garfield's annihilate each other.
