3409: Election Season
Election Season |
Made by: SonicLover |
Explanation[edit | edit source]
In the original Garfield strip, Garfield, on a windowsill, watches the family enter the house, and the lawn features a sign called "I Love My Dogs".
Here, the lawn has now featured a sign called "Vote AL SWINDLER for President".
Al Swindler is a recurring character from Garfield & Friends. "Conveniently" appearing in multiple professions, Swindler is often available to get Jon (and presumably other characters) to pay more for his good or service than it's actually worth... which isn't hard when the good or service is worthless.
Seeing him not only run for president, but garner support, would be concerning.

Al Swindler was a recurring character in the Garfield & Friends cartoon; his name, and the fact that in one appearance he ran a car dealership called Swindler Motors, should make it easy to guess what his character was like.
