Explanation[edit | edit source]

This strip turns the stump into a portal to a Super Mario 64-style stage, even editing its stage-select screen into where the third panel originally was.

The strip's title is an allusion to Jolly Roger Bay, the third stage of Super Mario 64; despite the title, the stage-select screen was edited from the one for Whomp's Fortress, the second stage of the game.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Original strip: 1982-08-10.
