3800: SRoMG and Happiness
SRoMG and Happiness |
Made by: KelpTheGreat |
Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip takes a Cyanide and Happiness strip that originally involved the name "Garfield" as an ending punchline and reworded the rest of it to reference Square Root of Minus Garfield itself as well as several of its running gags. The figure on the right references the infamous pudding pops and blender gags, while the figure on the left references obscure mathematics-based jokes and the very first Square Root of Minus Garfield strip.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
Hey, if Cyanide and Happiness can have a strip making fun of its own recurring themes, so can SRoMG.
Original Cyanide and Happiness strip: 2007-10-24 (strong language, rude themes)
Transcript[edit | edit source]
{Two stick figures from Cyanide and Happiness are looking around nervously}
Guy on the left: I wonder what will happen in this SRoMG comic?
Guy on the right: I bet someone will make a tired pudding pops reference.
Guy on the left: ... or a way-too-complicated joke based on advanced mathematics!
Guy on the right: Orrrrrr a guy will get a blender glued to his face?
Guy on the left: ... or maybe the strip will be in haiku?!
(Guy on the right is holding a pie and running away)
Guy on the left: GAARRFIEELLDD!!!!!!!
Trivia[edit | edit source]
No link to the original Cyanide and Happiness strip is provided on Square Root of Minus Garfield itself; based on the stated content warning in the author's notes, it is likely a link was submitted, but was delinked prior to the strip running. The original Cyanide and Happiness strip can be found here (warning: strong language, rude themes).
