"Ask a Dog" is a running gag that started in 2010. I guess it's a pretty funny joke. It's better than "We're bachelors, baby".
While I was putting this together, I noticed a few things:
- Strip two is the only one to feature Garfield and Odie standing. The others have them behind the ledge.
- The punctuation in the "Dear Ask a Dog" sentence changes quite often.
- The last panel of the fourth comic has Garfield using two thought bubbles.
- Both the ninth and third comics use the joke of Garfield writing the letter, but they both have different punchlines.
- In the second strip, Garfield requests "No questions about the moon". In strip thirteen, there is a question about the moon.
- Whenever Odie answers, he always speaks a total of six dog sound effects.
