The "new Garfield series" referred to in the author's notes had a turbulent development history; its development was even reported to have been cancelled in January 2026, before the show was officially announced two months later.

With the new Garfield series coming to Nickelodeon, I think it's time to make Garfield get annoyed by Face, the original mascot on Nick Jr. from 1994 until 2004, as he is watching TV.
