Pandemic Outruns Diner |

Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip takes the original strip and re-frames it in the context of businesses being forced to rework their models due to the wikipedia:COVID-19 pandemic; many food-related businesses had to temporarily close due to pandemic-related factors.
The original strip was notably published eight days before the COVID-19 pandemic was officially declared a pandemic (it was still considered an outbreak at the time), such declaration taking place earlier in the day that later saw the event in Oklahoma City that resulted in global society as the world knew it at the time coming to a standstill within a matter of days.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
Because we're living in a world full of infected people right now (as of this writing). Most restaurants are being closed temporarily due to the COVID-19 problem this year.
Original strip: 2020-03-03.
