418: Real Horror Show
Real Horror Show |

Explanation[edit | edit source]
The show in the original 1982 strip was The Rocky Oxnard Show, and the second panel was followed by Garfield turning the volume extremely low after having it so loud briefly. The third panel is from a 1994 strip in which Garfield is about to see a story about a warm and loving cat "on Science Fiction Theater!" which he calls weird as he turns it off.
Here, the show appears to be The Rocky Horror Picture Show, as it's on television rather than a stage like its basis, The Rocky Horror Show.
The author makes a distinction between what he's talking about and the Nadsat slang "horrorshow", meaning "well", "okay", or "good".
The author writes[edit | edit source]
No, not the Clockwork Orange one.
Original strips: 1982-04-29, 1994-05-20.
