Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original lower-left panel, Garfield detailed his plans for messing with the new plant. Here, he quotes Inigo Montoya, a character from the novel "The Princess Bride" and its film adaptation. Montoya is a man driven by revenge for the death of his father, and he seeks the six-fingered Count Rugen that he may exact it; when he confronts Rugen, he says the words Garfield says both in the edited lower-left panel and the following panel.

The author then quotes Inigo again after Vizzini says "inconceivable" for the fourth time in the movie, and then Rugen, after Montoya has said the quote four times to him, the fifth time in the whole movie, as the first time was him telling The Man in Black his plan to say it upon confronting Rugen.

The author writes[edit | edit source]

You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

Stop saying that!!
