Explanation[edit | edit source]

This time, the base comic is a scan from a 1986 issue of Teen Titans Spotlight, in which Beast Boy visits a lioness called Elga. His dialogue is replaced with dialogue from a 1983 Garfield strip. This leads to a couple of oddities, such as talking about altering a sign in a panel where there is no sign present, or talking about pacing while not pacing. But it's a decent thematic match, all things considered.

The author writes[edit | edit source]

With all the Photoshops of President Garfield, I'm surprised that there haven't been any of the other Garfield, Beast Boy from Teen Titans. It would really be impressive if somebody could Photoshop all three Garfields into a single strip.

Original strip: 1983-01-16.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

Garfield "Beast Boy" Logan: I wonder what it would be like to be a wild animal.
Garfield "Beast Boy" Logan: First, I'd alter this stupid sign.
Garfield "Beast Boy" Logan: Then I'd pace around looking kinda fierce.
{Turns into a lion}
Garfield "Beast Boy" Logan: Then I'd scare the heck out of the crowd. Rroooarr!
{Turns into a monkey}
Garfield "Beast Boy" Logan: That was a pretty convincing performance, if I do say so myself.
