Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original 1/0 strip, the panel now occupied by Garfield eating in response to Tailsteak's... dialogue? narration? ...had more dialogue by Petitus and Mock. The final panel here is an edit of the original second panel; Tailsteak's dialogue box, having already been used, was removed, Petitus' eyes were moved, and both Petitus and Mock have new dialogue.

The original Garfield strip continued from this panel with Garfield paraphrasing the Will Rogers quote "I never met a man I didn't like" such that it now refers to lasagna.

The author writes[edit | edit source]

I'm not a big fan of 1/0* (it seems to think itself more insightful than it actually is), but it has a mathematical title, so naturally I had to produce this.

* I say that; I did read the entire archive, although in my defence it was on a Sunday afternoon so I had very little else to do.

Based on the 1/0 strip 932.

Original strip: 1979-05-09.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

Petitus: Dilbertesque critique of the concept of working together: check.
Tailsteak: And how!
Mock: Very nice, yes.
Tailsteak: Time for something lasagna-related.
[SFX]: Gobble! Gobble! {Garfield eating a lasagna}
Mock: ...huh.
Petitus: Stupid crossovers.
