467: Garfield Minus Absolutely Everything

Explanation[edit | edit source]
This "strip", if you can even call it that, is essentially an escalation of 386: Garfield Minus Everything's key joke; whereas #386 was essentially a straight Garfield Minus Garfield treatment on a strip where Garfield was the only character, this strip essentially erases the entire canvas leaving nothing but transparency.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
I saw Garfield Minus Everything and instantly decided that the creator thereof had set his sights too low.
After all, one can plainly see the customary table, and the back wall. One can plainly see the panel-borders, and the copyright notices, and Jim Davis's signature with the date. When one removes these things as well, one finds not nihilism, but something much closer in nature to Zen.
Original strip: 2010-02-19.
