Explanation[edit | edit source]
Despite invoking the name of the original literary work, this strip's dialogue is derived from the 1951 animated film adaptation; this strip's inspiration was a television-series parody of a song from the film. The author's notes also makes note that the songs involved in the making of this strip were not to be confused by a Jefferson Airplane song called "White Rabbit".
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
I saw this comic browsing the archives. As it happened, Jon rushing about reminded me of a scene in an episode of The Goodies which parodied the White Rabbit's song* from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Thus this.
*no, not that one!
Original strip: 1999-12-04.
