Explanation[edit | edit source]

With the panels done as the author says below, a few words can be made out, as well as some forms, but a lot of it is obscured.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

This is the first black and white Garfield strip (1978-06-19), with white set to transparent and each panel layered consecutively over the previous.

Transcript (unofficial)[edit | edit source]

Garfield: Hi, there. I'm Garfield. I'm a cat, and this is my cartoonist, Jon.
Jon: Our only thought is to entertain you.
Garfield: Feed me.
