The splash panel from strip 1989-08-27 turned into a paint by numbers exercise. The colours are from Crayola's crayon catalogue.
Turned out to be surprisingly difficult to get workable high res from the web sources, so had to basically re-ink the panel digitally.
Included is a print resolution version of the strip, and also a scalable SVG vector graphic file (the original, made with Inkscape).

Jon: Here we are boys. Out here with Mother Nature, no cars, no clock, no stress.
Garfield: ... No TV, no microwave, no refrigerator, no indoor litter box.
