4953: Of Mice and Murder
Of Mice and Murder |
Made by: Kavviyenta |
Explanation[edit | edit source]
In the original comic, Garfield flicked the mouse off the table, after it made faces at him, a mouse scream was heard, and Garfield went to sleep unaware of a horde of mice coming up and holding a small gallows, and Garfield woke up to see an orange kitten toy being lynched.
Here, the mouse scream was heard followed by a crick as Garfield looked on remorselessly, and the fifth panel has the mice come up holding up a big gallows, and hanging Garfield from a rope from another SRoMG strip.
The author explored an interpretation of why Garfield never killed a mouse, despite his willingness to kill birds, fish, and spiders. The comic suggests the mice were willing to declare war over a mousetrap.

A supposed interpretation to why Garfield never kills a mouse... despite killing birds, fish, and spiders. Mind you, the mice were willing to declare war over a mousetrap.
