Explanation

This is the second installment of the Garfield Numerosity series, based on the Numerosity series from Sesame Street. This comic adapts the second film, which centers around the number 2. That film ended with the baker carrying a pair of chocolate cream pies, but that scene isn't adapted. Here's each panel of the comic in order:

• 2 ice cream cones: This panel uses the first panel of a comic (2009-02-25) where Garfield and Jon each have an ice cream cone. Garfield's has sprinkles, and while Jon claims that they're not so great, it's clear that he's envious of Garfield for having the better cone.
• 2 turtles: This panel uses the second panel of a comic (2013-01-30) where Garfield meets a turtle who, unlike other turtles, moves fast. The original panel only has 1 turtle, and a second was added to this one.
• 2 heads: This panel uses a scene from the Garfield and Friends episode "Arbuckle the Invincible", which focuses on Jon acquiring an alien deflector that renders him indestructible. The scene features a 2-headed alien looking for the deflector while Garfield and Odie watch. The author's notes don't mention this.
• 2 hats: This panel uses a photo of a pair of Garfield hats.
• 2 butterflies: This panel uses a panel from a comic (1997-03-30) where Garfield finds Pooky in a field along full of cute critters, which is too much for him to handle. The original panel only has 1 butterfly, and a second was added to this one.
