53: Garfield Minus Jon
Garfield Minus Jon |
![]() Made by: Colin Foster |
Explanation[edit | edit source]
Again, an author removes Jon from a strip, changing the explanation for why Garfield thought-spoke "Midnight." For all we know, without Jon there in his pajamas drinking his morning coffee, maybe it is about midnight instead of 17-18 hours earlier.
This strip was published only 5 strips (or 12 days, since these are the early days of Square Root of Minus Garfield) after a strip titled the same thing, linked to by David Morgan-Mar, since the author clearly only suspected there would be a strip with the same idea.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
A pretty obvious idea. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody else did one of these before I did. (Ed: they did.)
Original strip: 1992-12-31.
