Between the last panel of this Square Root of Minus Garfield strip proper (and, by extension, the transcript) and the author's notes, much of what's written about the original Rugrats strip here made its way onto the Square Root of Minus Garfield presentation; the original Rugrats strip itself was not linked to from SRoMG itself, it can be found here.
This SRoMG strip itself drops the final panel of the original Rugrats strip and replaces it with a panel from the original Garfield strip, reworded with a slightly-reworded version of the "rugratonline.free.fr" blurb to poke fun at the Rugrats strip's lack of accuracy to the television series it adapts.

Sorry, but that Rugrats strip is extremely inaccurate to the show. Angelica is much more of a Cynthia fan than Susie is. That's why I decided to replace the final panel with Garfield. I don't think the people behind the original Rugrats strip from 1998 watched the show.

Garfield: Hmmm... Susie has the Cynthia bell while Angelica has the Reptar horn... Shouldn't it be the other way around?
