Explanation[edit | edit source]

The original had Garfield worried about Jon giving Liz a poetry book by Emily Dickinson, and him happy about a Big Mouth Billy Bass. This edit changes his expression around.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Changing Garfield's emotions took a bit longer than I thought. While I was at it, I changed the wording using other letters directly from this strip.

Original strip: 2006-11-29.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

Jon: Well, I decided. Liz said she liked poetry, so I got her a book by Emily Dickinson
{As you may tell by the expression on his face, Garfield likes the gift}

Jon: I also got her the singing fish
Garfield: You had me happy for a minute there
