Explanation[edit | edit source]

This strip essentially explores a potential aftermath of the infamous "Defenestration of Muncie", as depicted in the 1981 original Garfield strip and the subsequent Square Root of Minus Garfield running gag derived from that strip. Based on the strip credits, the author took 3935: Quickest Temper (or, Really Unprovoked); or, Negative Provocation (or, Senseless Domestic Animal Abuse); or, No Rhyme or Reason, cleaned out all flying glass and flying cats, then added in a speech bubble from a 1978 Garfield strip over Garfield's presumed landing position clearly depicting Garfield having been hurt by the ordeal.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

I spent too much effort making this

I cant wait for this strip to be remixed half a dozen times to make even MORE edits of this strip

Original Square Root of Minus Garfield strip: 2020-02-26.
