Explanation[edit | edit source]

This strip essentially takes the Garfield in 2053 approach to the original Garfield strip by removing Jon from the original strip in favor of a third identical pose of Garfield.

This strip is the second in the history of Square Root of Minus Garfield to be untitled, the first being 1527.

The author writes[edit | edit source]

For some reason, this strip kinda reminds me of the January 17, 2013 strip. It’s no secret that Old Man Davis and co. can recycle entire panels as they please ever since they abandoned ye olde papers and pens for these modern technologies you call tablets. In both this strip and the 2013 one, the first two panels are the same, except for the dialogue, and the punchline is in the third panel. Garfield's dialogue in this strip, as well as the punchline, are pretty similar to the 2013 strip.

Apologies in advance for doing a strip based on a tired meme, but I did what I had to do.

Original Square Root of Minus Garfield strip: 2013-06-21.

Original strip: 2022-08-09.

Garfield: Some people make the most of it...
{And he's STILL sitting there, but hey, the Creator's signature and the date are etched onto the table now, so that's something, I guess}
Garfield: And then there are the abusers
