Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes[edit | edit source]

*I wasn't actually in college when I first sent this, but it's likely that I will be when you all have seen this.

Also, I found the idea of a week condensed into a Sunday underused, in that I’ve only seen two on this site (as of late March 2024).

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Garfield is talking to a bowl of cat food}
Garfield: I don't have a conscience
Food-Vision: I know. I'm free-lancing!
Garfield: If you ARE my conscience, what are you doing in my food bowl?
Food-Vision: I took on a form you would understand
Food-Vision: It is my duty to make you feel bad about things that make you feel good {Like the college work I'm not doing for some reason.*}
Garfield: Well, conscience, if you don't mind, I'll go to bed now
Food-Vision: Tah tah
{Garfield approaches his bed}
Bed-Vision: You sleep too much {it clearly does mind}
Garfield: ACK
{An alarm clock has now appeared next to Garfield's bed, as well as the food bowl}
Garfield {now tucked in bed}: Who's he?
Clock-Vision: Guilt
Food-Vision/Guilt: On the jogging track in 5 minutes, sucker! Be there!
{Some time later...}
Jon: Garfield! Where have you been?!
Garfield {beaten up}: At Custer's Last Stand
