Explanation[edit | edit source]

In this strip, Jon takes a lasagna out of the oven, only to drop it moments later, exclaiming "WHY!?" He then delivers a bizarre, grammatically twisted question: "Do they call it Oven when you of in cold food of out hot eat the food?" Meanwhile, Garfield, unfazed, pours the dropped lasagna into a bowl, muttering an equally nonsensical phrase: "If I eated soap. I don't bc I did. No I didn't." The comic plays on absurd sentence structure, twisting familiar phrases into surreal, almost dreamlike dialogue.
