It is presumed that this strip has been published out of the author's intended order; the line about this strip being a stealth sequel to a strip titled "Garfield in 2062" currently makes no sense due to no strip being titled "Garfield in 2062" having already run on Square Root of Minus Garfield.

My very first thought upon seeing the original strip: What if someone were to edit this strip to be more philosophical?
And that's exactly what I did.
