In this strip, Garfield carries Odie’s empty bowl and dramatically announces that someone has eaten Odie’s food. Then, realizing his mistake, he quickly vomits into the bowl and presents it back to Odie, claiming that no one has eaten his food after all.
The humor comes from the absurdity of Garfield’s solution—rather than admitting the food is gone, he “restores” it in the most grotesque way possible. The author notes that this strip is a modified version of SRoMG #112, with only the last line changed.
