Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip is simply a colorized version of the original Jon strip; as the strip takes place at Jon's cartoonist desk, the color cues are drawn from Garfield 1978-06-19.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
I was bored so I made recolored Jon.
Original Jon strip: 1976-03-04.
Transcript[edit | edit source]
Jon: Guess what Garfield? I met this wonderful girl in the laundry room
Jon: Even though we didn't speak, I thínk she's crazy about me
Garfield: And I think I'm going to throw up
Jon: She has this way about her that just kills you
Garfield: So did Lizzy Borden
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The original Jon strip is not linked; it can be found among the 1976 Jon strips on the Garfield wiki on Fandom here.
- There are two errors in the transcript; Jon's second-panel line incorrectly applies an acute accent to "think", and Garfield's third-panel line misspells Lizzie Borden's first name as "Lizzy".
