664: Garfbert
Garfbert |

Explanation[edit | edit source]
No explanation required: This strip simply substitutes Garfield in for Catbert, the Evil Director of Human Resources, a character from Dilbert (as as his title states, he's a cat, he's evil, and he's director of HR for Dilbert's company).
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
Some substitutions are too easy, and Garfield for Catbert is one of them. (In fact, I thought somebody had done this before me, but couldn't find it in the archive. If you do, never mind.)
Original Dilbert strip: 2009-04-18.
Transcript[edit | edit source]
Caption: Garfield: Evil Director of Human Resources
Garfield (to Dilbert's Pointy Haired Boss): Being evil used to mean something.
Garfield: These days I can cut salaries by 10% and people will thank me for not firing them!
Pointy Haired Boss:Do you want to help me eat employee lunches from the break room fridge?
Garfield: I'd like that.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The author's notes were prescient: As it turns out, this is a duplicate of 288: Garbert, Evil Director of Human Resources, down to using the exact same Dilbert strip (though the two use different images for Garfield).
- The link to the original Dilbert strip no longer works as originally intended due to the Dilbert site being restructured after that strip was dropped by its syndicate amidst its cartoonist's controversies.
